Coming straight out of east London, UK based producer ‘Smasher’ has compiled a stunning collection of songs featuring an impressive 20 artists from the UK. Including current number one artist Wiley and other stars Wretch 32 and Maverick Sabre. Combining hugely varied influences from hip-hop, grime, drum and bass and even classical, the ‘Set The Record Straight E.P’ is a truly inspiring collection of songs from one of the UK’s most talented producers.


From the conception of the E.P, Smasher new he wanted to demonstrate his passion for many different musical genres. As a result, his background in UK garage and grime are complemented by a healthy dose of hip-hop. Long time collaborator Aaron Greenwood co produced and arranged much of the project and used his performance background to secure musicians to play on many of the tracks. The first single, ’No Sleep’, (featuring Wretch 32 and Maverick Sabre) utilises guitar, bass and drums, whilst up and coming rappers ‘Dot Rotten’ and ‘Sincere’ are accompanied by violin and cello on the epic opener, ‘Big Picture’. By incorporating live instrumentation on 7 of the 9 tracks, ‘Set The Record Straight’ is pushing the boundaries of what to expect from UK producers.

Having recieved much critical acclaim on the underground scene over the last 10 years,
multi-talented producer, MC and DJ Smasher is back with the single, 'No Sleep'.
Featuring top UK artists Wretch 32, Maverick Sabre, Loudmouth and Black the Ripper.
The track is a fusion of classic hip-hop style and authentic British flows and is a prelude to the
up and coming E.P, 'Set The Record Straight'
